Rodin sculpture garden in Paris

Before I even think about doing something for 2009, I have to hit a few highlights from the previous year. Back in May, I went on an art history tour with a group of Asbury College students. We had a great time visiting so many sites in Paris and then on to the Loire River Valley.  One of the highlights for me was the Rodin sculpture garden in Paris. We had a chance to wander for a few hours around the grounds and museum. It made me want to see the movie, "Camille Claudet" all over again!

A Favorite Movie Quote:

"I know what you're thinking, did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean of, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky?"
Clint Eastwood in "Dirty Harry"

About Me

Jeff Rogers
Lexington, KY, United States
In 1980, I traded a gun for my first camera and it wasn't long before point and shoot held entirely new meaning. My passion for photography grew as I traveled the back roads around my hometown of Corinth (population 250... make than 249) and across Kentucky; I have an enduring love for the rural landscape and for the many ways people find meaning and relate to the land. I graduated from Transylvania with a BA in Art and have owned and operated Jeff Rogers Photography since 1988. My work can be found in regional and national markets and my first book was published in 2006. The award winning coffee table book of panoramic photography, Kentucky Wide, sold out and Kentucky Wide II was released in 2009 and it continues to bring smiles to all who view it. Thanks for stopping by!
